Hi, my name is Peter, thank you for visiting our website.

 

I grew up in Marlboro, MA but now live here in Maine. As a child, I spent my summers at Camp Chewonki in Wiscasset and at my family’s summer home that my Dad built in Acton, ME; learning to sail, swim, hike, bike and enjoy the outdoors. I graduated from Colorado Technical University in 2003 as an IT professional. Shortly after that, I realized that I was more of a hands-on trade guy. As a result, I continued to work in Landscape Construction and Maintenance for the next 8 years as an Account Manager, Project Manager, and Production Manager.

 

Around 2011 a good friend introduced me to Brian Quinn of New View Construction in Ashland, MA. Brian is a Master Carpenter who had won awards in Newton, MA for historical renovations and has had appearances on This Old House. I started to work with Brian where I learned advanced skills while working on a variety of projects in the Boston area.

 

For a variety of reasons (traffic, congestion, high taxes, and a need to be closer to the mountains and ocean) I wanted to move north and out of MA. As a result, I started working with Lee Veator of Benchmark Home improvements in Exeter, NH. Where I installed kitchens for the next four years as a sub-contractor. Benchmark jobs started taking me further up the coast where I was often building kitchens in seaside towns as far north as Scarborough, Maine. It was at this time that Paul Leonard of Kitchen Tune-Up reached out to me and soon I was installing kitchens for them as well. We/I installed about 90% of KTU kitchens for the next 4 years.

 

Because I had been creating and installing kitchens from Newburyport to Portland for many years I started to gain a positive name for myself. As a result, residential customers and general contractors started contacting me directly for my services. It was then that I went completely on my own and In 2019 I started Meggison Kitchen Renovations (MKR).
